Under the tutelage of Khenchen Kunga Wanghcuk at Dzongsar Shedra in Drenjong Ney and Bir, His Eminence diligently pursued a comprehensive study of the Thirteen Great Philosophical Texts in 1984.

His Eminence immersed himself in the study of various dharma precepts under esteemed non-sectarian masters from both the Old and New schools, including luminaries like His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Zhadeu Trulshik Rimpoche, Sakya Trichen, Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche, Drubwang Pema Norbu Rinpoche, and the Fourth Kyabje Dodrupchen Rinpoche. This education encompassed teachings on Ripening, Liberating, and Supporting imparted by the revered Vajra-Holder Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse, along with guidance on his own revealed treasures.
In 1982, His Eminence established the second Kharchu in Bumthang, Bhutan, and diligently continued the tradition of preserving the Jangter (Northern Treasure), the practice lineage of the preceding incarnations. In 1994, His Eminence founded a new Shedra. In 1996, His Eminence extended an invitation to Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche, the esteemed holder of the Jangter teachings, to visit the home monastery in Bumthang. During this visit, His Eminence received the Empowerment and Transmission of Rinchen Terdzoe (Treasure Trove of Precious Hidden Teachings) from Rinpoche, along with numerous other instructions pertaining to the Jangter teachings. Additionally, His Eminence established a Sadhana (Practice) Centre in the same year.
His Eminence underwent intensive retreats focused on Approach Accomplishment (bsnyen sgrub) multiple times, notably in 2001 and 2014. Especially noteworthy is his delivery of comprehensive dharma teachings specifically tailored for those fortunate individuals in need of guidance. His ongoing commitment to significant endeavours and virtuous actions, such as promoting various activities through empowerment and verbal transmission, leads to the dissemination of dharma teachings across the vast ocean of tantra, scripture, and oral instructions on Kama and Terma (Buddha-word and Treasures) from the Early Translations tradition, cascading like rain falling and spreading across the globe, starting with the esteemed Land of the Dragon, Bhutan.
