About

Objective

Our primary aim is to disseminate the teachings of Buddha according to the unwavering vision of His Eminence Kyabje Rinpoche, the Dharma Lord. Historically, Buddhist teachings have predominantly thrived among Trans-Himalayan ethnic communities, while their presence in Western countries remains considerably limited. A significant portion of the global population remains unaware of even the existence of insiders (Buddhists). Therefore, our objective is to uphold, preserve, and propagate the teachings of Buddha Dharma, emphasizing non-harmful conduct and the perspective of dependent arising, embellished by the four seals that signify the Buddha's view. These principles form the bedrock for happiness and well-being in both this life and the next. We aim to achieve this objective through various means—explicitly, implicitly, and indirectly—reaching every corner of the world, as long as the cycle of existence endures.

Benefits

In general, wherever the Buddha Dharma manifests—whether in countries, regions, or valleys—it is accompanied by timely rainfall, leading to flourishing crops and livestock as a result of its blessings. It is said that with the presence of Buddha Dharma, dangers like floods, torrents, and other elemental manifestations are alleviated. Moreover, epidemics, warfare, famine, crises, and conflicts are said to be completely pacified. This harmonious state leads to thriving habitats and inhabitants, accompanied by an abundance of auspiciousness and prosperity. As a result, having a dharma practitioner in a city alleviates concerns, as they assist in performing Rites of Aid (zhabs rim) for both the living and the deceased, offering prognostications through divination and astrology, reciting daily prayers, and guiding individuals through the stages of Preliminary (sngon ’gro) Practice and Main (dngos gzhi) Practice. Furthermore, they can fulfil any other necessary tasks, such as delivering dharma discourses and organizing various dharma-related activities.

Sustainability

Ensuring the long-term sustainability of a dharma centre typically hinges on several key factors, including national sovereignty, effective governance, economic stability, human development, the promotion of equality, and a robust legal framework. Moreover, the establishment and enduring viability of a dharma centre are greatly reliant on the strength and support of the Sangha Community, as expressed:

"May the Lotus Feet (Life) of the Lama, embodying the grandeur of the Buddha’s Teaching, be firmly rooted!
May the entire universe be filled with beings who uphold the Buddha’s Teaching!
May the prosperity and influence of the benefactors of the Buddha’s Teaching flourish!
May everything be auspicious so that the Buddha’s teachings endure for a very long time!"
Furthermore, the sustainability of the dharma centre depends on the benefactors of Buddha's teachings. Consequently, the interdependence between the Sangha community and the benefactors is inevitable. Therefore, the sustainability of the dharma centre will rely on the dedication of Khenpos, Tulkus, Lamas, disciples, and generous benefactors committed to the teachings of Buddha, both now and in the future. Similarly, it will require the extraordinary altruism and unwavering diligence of the task force members.
The Kharchu Centre Incorporated Australia is made up of voluntary members with interests that align with the intent of the KCA. The members are located in most of the major cities across Australia.
